The First Winter School of the Dead Sea Research Venue (DESERVE) will be held from 24 November to 5 December 2014 at Masada, Israel.
Target group are young researchers from universities, and research institutions, in particular Master and PhD students, with specific interest in the Dead Sea region.
After an introduction on the Dead Sea region, the Winter School will focus on meteorological and hydrological aspects like evaporation, wind systems, haze, runoff generation and flash flooding. The participants will benefit from a close combination of theory and praxis. For instance, the meteorological measurement toolkit ‘KITcube’ will be present.
The Winter School is free of charge. The granting of credit points (ECTS) is possible.
