Israel, Jordan and Palestine signed a memorandum of understanding on a pipeline project linking the Red Sea and the Dead Sea. The pipeline is aimed to provide freshwater by desalination and to slow down the Dead Sea level decline. The pipeline is meant to be the first step of the Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance Project.
