A workshop on sinkholes will be held on Tuesday, 19. August 2014 at the German Research Centre for GeoSciences (GFZ). The workshop will focus on recent developments in research on sinkhole formation including Distinct Element modeling, on the mapping of sinkholes with traditional and novel methods, as well as on the identification of sinkhole vulnerable regions. Additionally, ongoing and future field campaigns in sinkhole affected areas will be addressed during the meeting.

The workshop is organised in the framework of DESERVE WP 1.
